Our Projects

The UK government has set a target to achieve carbon net zero by 2050: this is already driving changes to the way energy is generated, stored, and distributed.

Between July and September 2024, 50.5% of electricity was generated from renewable sources (UK Government, December 202) – this growth is set to continue. At the same time, the rising cost of energy generated from fossil fuels is putting increasing pressure on households and businesses.

Climate Action Thornbury and Surrounding Areas (CATSA) was set up to help members of the local community make informed decisions about managing their energy use, and access trusted advice and services for retrofitting energy saving, generation, and storage technologies. We also collaborate with a network of partners to connect our community with local and national initiatives for sustainable energy use and generation.
